Cameron grew up in the town of Summerville, South Carolina and was introduced to the theatre, acting, and directing at the age of 9 by his small community theatre called The Flowertown Players. Eight years later he would be the youngest director to direct at the company. After that, he attended college for directing/ theater/ film and then made the big move out to California in 2002 to work for the Americorps program. He was stationed in San Jose, CA to help underprivileged youth ranging from grades K-12 & educated on topics such as gang violence, domestic violence, homophobia, gender roles, and conflict resolution. After being a part of such an amazing program, hearing so many stories that needed to be told, he decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of becoming a filmmaker.
He is constantly learning and wanting to expand his knowledge and love for the art of filmmaking.
Kat grew up in Yarm, a quiet town in the North East of England, and has a background in broadcast journalism. Her first produced film as writer and co-producer (called MR BOJAGI), won the Best Short Film Award at the London Independent Film Festival and is distributed by Shorts International. In 2012, Kat was a finalist for the Bluecat Cordelia Award and Final Draft Big Break competition with a script written with her writing partner. Together, they have had two scripts optioned, completed three writing assignments and their first produced feature, ARTHUR & MERLIN, has just been released in the UK. Kat was also voted on to The Tracking Board’s ‘young and hungry’ list 2014, which lists the top 100 emerging writers in Hollywood and is voted for by industry professionals. So far, Kat’s experience in film has been almost completely as a writer. Over the last year, Kat has been learning about the craft of directing and developing these skills in preparation for shooting her first short film.
Winning this contest would be a perfect step to move confidently into directing, where she firmly believes her future lies.
Jason is an award winning actor, voice over artist, writer, producer and director. Since Graduating from Actors Centre Australia in 2009, Jason has carved out a varied career between film, television, radio and theatre. His theatre credits include ‘Shotgun’ for (Spectrum Now / Tamarama Rock Surfers) ‘Platanov’ for (ATYP), ‘Shutters’ for (Tamarama Rock Surfers) ‘Dog’s Barking’ (Pantsguys)’ Thom Pain’ (Belvoir / B-Sharp) and’ NOT I / Ashes to Ashes’ (NIDA) Jason is an in demand Voice Over Artist working regularly across brands such as KFC, Sony, QBE and Samsung. His television credits ‘Underbelly: The Golden Mile’ and a host of television commercials. The short Film ‘A Little Bit Behind’ which Jason co-wrote and starred in has won awards at home and internationally, in which Jason won Best Actor both in Australia & at the International 48hour short film awards in America and screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. ‘Kitchen Sink Drama’ in which Jason also played the lead was a finalist at Tropfest Australia in 2012, screened at the New York City International Film Festival and won ‘best comedy’ at the BrownFish International Film Festival in New York. Jason’s latest short film ‘Casa Del Sueños’ which he wrote, produced and stars in is currently doing the film festival rounds including the ‘Tropfest summer series’, ‘The Projects Short Film Festival’ the ‘HA! fest Comedy Film Festival (USA) and the Miami Short Film Festival (USA). Jason’s has just finished up his latest Short film ‘Caramel’ which he wrote, directed and produced and is about to start the film festival circuit.
